After finishing runners-up to Real Madrid in the Champions League final, and runners-up to the Premier League Champions in the Premier League, Liverpool will be intent on dusting themselves off and going all-in next month. The Premier League champions are scheduled to begin their tour with a friendly against Liga MX side Club America in Texas, then make their way around the U.S. to take on Bayern Munich in Wisconsin, home to the Green Bay Packers. Following a thrilling season finale, City will go on their first complete preseason, something they haven’t done since 2019. Football was suspended in early 2020 because of the Covid-19 outbreak, and further travel restrictions prohibited the Blue side of Manchester from journeying to all parts of the globe in preparation for the season.

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola believes beating PSG for the top spot in the group stage was the best display of all as City qualified for the Champions League final 16. The Algerian became the first Manchester City player to score seven times in the Champions League. Manchester City CEO Ferran Soriano says Real Madrid was “lucky” to win the Champions League in 2021-22, as the Blancos defeated the Blues on their way, but insists that the people in the Etihad stadium are not obsessed with European competition. Having reached the final last year, PSG, led by the superb Mbappe, defeated Barcelona and Bayern Munich and reached the final four of the Champions League, whereas Man City defeated them.

Many teams are coming to American stadiums over the next few weeks, including Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton, Manchester City, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and newly-crowned UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid. City will expect to get a lot done in the preseason as they attempt to rekindle their title challenge. Pep’s team is well-known for visiting places wherever their fan base has grown since its Saudi takeover. The Citizens have not had a preseason outside U.K.e UK since travelling to China, Hong Kong, and Japan for the Premier League Asia Trophy in China.
